Learning with AI, or outsourcing to it?

Five questions, two minutes. Pick something your kid made or did with AI, at school or at home, and ask them:

1. Can you explain how it works?

   In their own words, not the AI’s.

2. Can you change one thing on purpose?

   And predict what will happen first.

3. When it went wrong, how did you notice?

   Spotting mistakes is the skill.

4. Why did you do it this way?

   Their choice, not the first thing it offered.

5. Could you do it again next week?

   If it stuck, they learned it.

The more they can answer, the more of the thinking was theirs.
